Just when you think you’ve run out of room for all of your belongings there’s a clever small space decorating idea to save the day!

  • Hidden Storage: Install storage units that pull in and out of the wall as needed.
  • Seating Storage: Make your dining area multifunctional with seating that lifts up to reveal storage space. The design idea incorporates plush cushion seats that your guests will enjoy.
  • Under Your Mattress: Instead of a bedframe, purchase a mattress platform with drawers for organized storing. Take a look at this idea on houzz.com.
  • Wall to Wall: Take full advantage of wall space. Wall to wall shelving gets your book collection off the floor and displayed the way it should be. Use picture boxes to store papers and miscellaneous items.
  • Boxed In: As mentioned above, open shelving doesn’t hide clutter very well and a great picture box can help take care of that problem. Baskets and jars also keep odds and ends in one space while adding charm to your décor.
  • Floating Furniture: Need more floor space? Install a floating nightstand. They offer ample storage while giving you extra room underneath.
  • On Display: Clean out your drawers and hang your accessories instead. Picture frame jewelry organizers and wall hooks for your handbags, scarves and belts keep everything off the floor and organized.
  •  One Season at a Time: Some household items and much of our clothing is seasonal. There’s no need for bulky winter coats to be taking up closet space. Store what you aren’t using high up and out of the way.

The best way to keep your home organized is by cleaning out the clutter! Everything that you haven’t used in the last year -and that doesn’t have sentimental value- needs to go!
